Manuscript Reviewer CME

Introduction

The granting of AMA PRA category 1 credit for the manuscript review process highlights the educational benefits reviewers (as learners) receive by participating in the manuscript review process. In this educational model, the Editor assumes the role of facilitator and identifies the learners by selecting the appropriate reviewer based on reviewer cognitive expertise and/or clinical experience. Following this educational model, the reviewer identifies expectations as reflected in the linked AJR article , the Editor evaluates the work of the reviewer and provides feedback. The Editor will then assign 1, 2, or 3 credits based on the quality of the review.
